Passions & hobbies
Outside the world of technology and innovation, Lechosław F. Ciupik enjoys playing sports. At various stages of his life, his passions have included horses, basketball, skiing and tennis – disciplines that require reflexes, coordination and a sense of rhythm. Currently, he is most fond of golf, which he values for its emphasis on precision, the need for concentration, and the fact that one wrong move can always be corrected by the next – which makes it particularly close to the engineering way of thinking.
In his spare time, he enjoys working in his garden and greenhouse, where, with the same patience and enthusiasm that he brings to his engineering work, he observes the processes of growth, maturation and, above all, the results of his own labour.
He enjoys cooking, claiming that a good recipe, like a good implant, should be simple, yet well thought out, logical and intuitive.
Although he has retired, he remains an inventor, supervising and supporting the growth of LfC. As he says, you never stop being an inventor, even when you swap your tools for secateurs or a golf club. He is also a connoisseur of hats for different occasions.
