In July, the fifth Cadaver-Lab (DERO-LfC) course, certified with educational credits, took place at the Medical Education Center in Warsaw. The subject of the training was a new procedure for sacroiliac stabilization: ISaF – Ilio-Sacral Stabilization (with) autogenous Fusion.
Finally, face to face, and it doesn’t matter that in the sanitary regime …
We were pleased to host surgeons from Germany and various parts of Poland (Zakopane, Elbląg, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, Zamość, Białystok, Katowice), as well as a long-term partner and co-organizer of this event – Via4Spine. Once again, LfC has had the opportunity to share highly specialized knowledge on its latest developments. In this edition, in the field of treatment of ilio-sacral joint dysfunction using the ISaF procedure (“… just screw in”).
The intensive program of the course included theoretical and practical classes on human cadavers supported by innovative bioengineering. After the lecture session, each participant had the opportunity to actively improve their skills under the supervision of experienced instructors.
Lecturers, mainly Dr. P. Koszyk (Uniwersytecki Szpital Ortopedyczno-Rehabilitacyjny w Zakopanem), Dr. W. Iluk (Wojewódzki Szpital Zespolony w Elblągu) and Dr. J. Ropers (Paracelsus-Klinik Henstedt-Ulzburg), we thank you for interesting presentations and openness in promoting knowledge and skills related to ISaF. We would like to thank the participants for their numerous attendance, open discussion, and commitment during practical classes.
We are very satisfied that the shared knowledge and skills are already helping patients and contributing to the development of spine surgery.
We are glad that after more than a year of separation we were able to meet you, the spine surgeons, again and collectively exchange views, opinions, experiences, and even expand the list of members of the International ISaF Group – Dr. P. Koszyk congratulations on his ISaF successes!
